Letters from Germany

 ‘At the time the Letters from Germany were written, in 1966, they brought about two kinds of reaction. They were loved by the majority of the public and, particularly, the young.

   Apart from anything else, they were considered yet another contribution to the effort to create direct political songs in Greece. However, many objected to them as well. They said the songs included words and depicted situations that, of course, shocked the public…’
